Note regarding Lelit machines with built-in grinder:

With Lelit portafilter machines featuring an integrated grinder, it is possible that coffee residue may be found inside the machine or in the box when opening the package. This is completely normal and does not indicate that the machine has been used.

Background: At the factory, every machine is tested with real coffee beans to ensure the quality of the grinder and the extraction. During this process, beans are ground that cannot be completely removed due to the large dead space in the grinder. Even though the machines are cleaned afterward, tiny amounts of ground coffee remain.

We do not open any packages—you will, of course, receive brand-new items in their original packaging. During shipping, vibrations may cause residues to loosen and spread inside the box.

And yes—sometimes we get the feeling that the delivery services are playing a round of soccer with the packages along the way 😉. We understand the frustration—no matter which shipping provider was chosen. Where people work, mistakes happen—intentional or not (without wanting to accuse anyone of anything).

We maintain close communication with the delivery services, take every complaint seriously, and, of course, pass on feedback.

Our promise regarding excessive coffee residue:

If your delivery is unusually dirty, please let us know. Please send us photos of the packaging and the machine immediately upon receipt.

After reviewing the issue, we’ll send you a free package of high-quality coffee beans as a small gesture of goodwill.

Note: This goodwill policy applies only to significant, documented residue. Please understand that a blanket credit cannot be issued without proof.
