The Wiedemann HangUp can be mounted in two ways—depending on the surface and load:

Adhesive mounting with Command Stripes

• No drilling required
• ideal for smooth surfaces (e.g., tile, glass, painted surfaces)
• Can often be removed without leaving residue on suitable surfaces
• also suitable for fully loaded HangUps, provided the adhesive surface is optimal

Important: Adhesive mounting is not recommended on wallpaper, as adhesion is not reliable there.

Screw mounting

• Maximum stability—regardless of the surface
• Recommended for heavy setups or unstable surfaces
• Durable and secure mounting

Installation is particularly easy: The packaging can be used as a drilling template. Two mounting brackets are already pre-installed on the back of the HangUp.

• Only tools with a sufficient iron content will be held securely
• Aluminum or many stainless steel alloys are not suitable
• The magnetic force only works with direct contact

This means: The HangUp is not a universal organizer, but a system that relies on compatible materials.

Hanging portafilter holders – what really works

A common misconception is the assumption that any portafilter can be attached directly to the HangUp. In practice, this only works to a limited extent.

Most portafilter handles are made of material combinations with low magnetic content. For reliable use, an additional magnetic holder is therefore required.

The recommended solution is the Wiedemann Puck:

• is inserted into the filter basket
• contains an integrated magnet
• enables stable hanging of the portafilter

Without this accessory, reliable use with portafilter holders is usually not possible.
