How to measure correctly

1. Remove the portafilter basket from the portafilter.
2. Use a slide gauge to measure the inside diameter of the portafilter basket at the top edge (in millimetres).
3. Select the attachment that comes closest to the measured inner dimension. Many baristas choose +0.3 mm (e.g. 58.3 mm instead of 58 mm) for maximum rim closure.

Practical tips

• Using several portafilters? Choose the attachment to match the narrowest basket; narrower baskets do not tolerate oversizing.
• Minimize channeling: Larger attachments (e.g. 58.3 mm) seal the coffee surface better and reduce edge channels - provided the basket has the right dimensions.
• IMS/VST/Precision baskets: Can often be combined with 58.3 mm; please confirm internal dimensions.
• Compatibility: The attachment is designed exclusively for the Eureka Pistone UTG tamper station.
