Was diesen Kaffee besonders macht

Nutty, chocolaty, balanced

A single-estate espresso made from 100% Arabica, from a single farm. Nutty on the first sip, followed by chocolate and caramel, with a fine, well-integrated acidity in the finish. Full body, soft crema, particularly nutty in a cappuccino.

nuttychocolatecaramel

Aromen sind natürliche Geschmacksassoziationen aus Rohkaffee und Röstung. Dem Kaffee wird nichts zugesetzt.

A good fit if you …

  • if you like nutty and chocolaty flavors, with body and without acidic peaks
  • if you drink a lot with milk, especially cappuccino and latte macchiato
  • if you value the farming method and want to know which farm your coffee comes from
  • if you are looking for a calm, balanced espresso for every day

Probably not if you …

  • if you are looking for fruity, lively coffees. Then Hochlandblüte or Hochlandjuwel are the better choice
  • if you are used to a very dark, smoky Italian-style roast. Then choose Vesuv
  • if you mainly drink filter coffee. For that, Naturharmonie from the same farm is made

Fazenda Camocim – biodynamically managed coffee farm (pioneer operation for Demeter coffee in Brazil)

Fazenda Camocim is located in the hills of Espírito Santo in Brazil and is considered a pioneering farm for biodynamic coffee. It is one of the few Demeter-certified coffee farms worldwide.

The coffee grows there in an agroforestry system: embedded in forest cover, under shade trees, with preserved flora and fauna. Closed nutrient cycles and on-site composts replace purchased fertilizers. The biodynamic farming methods according to Demeter guidelines go beyond the requirements of organic agriculture.

Individual competition lots from Fazenda Camocim have been rated over 90 points in international evaluations.

These ratings apply to individual competition lots of the farm, not to our batch. They show the level at which work is carried out there.

Schokobombe

Eine echt leckere Bohne bzw. Röstung. Ich habe die Parameter meinem Geschmack entsprechend angepasst und als Cappuccino getrunken. So schokoladig, eine Schkobombe.

Fragen & Antworten

What customers ask about Naturgold

Steht deine Frage nicht dabei, schreib uns. Wir antworten persönlich, meist am selben Werktag.

Eigene Frage stellen →
What does biodynamic cultivation mean here?

On Fazenda Camocim the coffee plants do not grow on cleared monoculture land but in an agroforestry system: embedded in forest cover, under shade trees, with preserved flora and fauna. In addition, closed nutrient cycles and on-site composts are used. This is more labor-intensive than conventional organic farming and is the reason why Demeter coffee is rare.

How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?

We roast in Vöhringen and only fill your bag immediately before shipping. Until then the roast batch is stored sealed in bulk packaging. The roast date is printed on every package. After 10 to 14 days of resting the sweetness and body are just right, after that the coffee remains aromatic for about four months.

Whole bean or ground?

Both. In addition to whole bean we grind on request for portafilter (fine), drip coffee maker, moka pot or French Press (coarse). Freshly ground tastes best, ground coffee loses aroma faster.

What package sizes are available?

250 g and 500 g, most varieties also as 1 kg. The larger the package, the cheaper the price per kilo. We display the price per kilo directly at the size selection.

Is the coffee really organic?

Yes. All our coffees are EU organic certified, Naturgold and Naturharmonie are additionally Demeter certified. The responsible organic control body is shown on each product page in the bean profile, together with the note non-EU agriculture.

Can I get the coffee on a subscription?

Yes. With a subscription you save 10 % compared to a single order. You set delivery frequency and quantity directly at purchase.

Bekömmlich und ausgewogener vielschichtiger Geschmack

Spitzenkaffee, viele, ausgewogene Aromen. Habe diese spezielle Bohne erst ein einziges Mal noch ein ganz bisschen harmonischer geröstet erlebt. Also: gut gemacht, freue mich auf die nächste Bestellung.
