A weekend full of innovations and encounters. The World of Coffee in Geneva

This year's World of Coffee 2025 in Geneva once again impressively demonstrated just how diverse and dynamic the coffee scene is. Between gleaming espresso machines and high-tech grinders, we not only discovered technological highlights, but also had many great conversations - for example at Quick Mill, where we discussed optimized steam nozzles with the contact persons.
A particular highlight was our in-depth, very inspiring discussion with our partner Eureka.
We also met with our trusted suppliers Touton Specialty Coffee and Belco. With Touton, we had inspiring talks about sustainable roasting profiles and direct trade partnerships as well as exciting cuppings, while Belco gave us a preview of exciting Brazil lot selections. Not forgetting our premium partner Fiorenzato - one of the world's leading coffee grinder manufacturers (since 1936) with a broad portfolio of professional grinder systems: from the XGi grind-by-weight system to the compact AllGround home grinder.
Eureka Mignon Specialità Smart - The smart evolution
As a partner of Eureka, we naturally took a close look at the brand new Mignon Specialità Smart:
-
SMART Technology & Recipe Book: Integrated 2.8″ color touch display with preset grinding profiles - from espresso to filter.

- Burrs' Distance Detection System: Sensor permanently monitors the distance between the grinding disks and warns when readjustment is required.
- ACE system & stepless micrometrics: Extremely precise grind adjustment without intermediate steps.
- Silent Technology & High-Speed Maintenance: Whisper-quiet grinding and tool-free cleaning for quick changes between bean types.
- 300 g bean container & robust metal fork: Practical and sturdy, ideal for daily use at home.
What makes the Eureka Specialita Smart so special?
The Specialita Smart is not just a high-quality grinder, but a real tool for anyone who wants to work systematically on their coffee quality. With its intelligent functions, it helps you to fine-tune your setup and achieve reproducible results at all times:
-
Recipe book with memory function
Save up to eight individual recipes - each with two time profiles and matching grind level. Ideal if you regularly switch between different beans or preparation methods. So every cup turns out exactly the way you like it - without having to readjust.
-
Intelligent grinding assistance
A special feature of the Smart: You enter your desired extraction time and the actual time achieved - the grinder then calculates the optimized grinding degree and suggests a suitable setting straight away. This is particularly helpful for anyone who does not yet have much experience with fine adjustment or simply wants to achieve the perfect result more efficiently.
-
Precise zero point detection
The Specialita Smart detects the true zero point of the grinder and displays it for you. This allows a particularly precise and consistent grind setting - ideal if you value traceability and repeatability.
-
Intuitive touch display
The generous and user-friendly display makes managing your recipes and settings child's play. All functions are clearly structured and can be adjusted with just a few taps.
The Eureka Specialita Smart will be launched in July 2025 and will be available in the following colors: Chrome, black and white .
