Who the Lelit PL042 Anita TEMD (PID) is made for

Classic portafilter technology, without detours.

One boiler serves brewing and steaming sequentially. For espresso that is completely sufficient; if you want milk, switch over and wait briefly.

  1. 01 57 mm portafilterA unique size, not the common 58 mm. There are baskets and tampers for it, but the selection is smaller; pay attention to the specification when choosing accessories.
  2. 02 Lelit 57 mm brew groupA brew group from the manufacturer, not an off-the-shelf part. Seals and portafilter come from the manufacturer, and it is tuned exactly to this machine.
  3. 03 Espresso firstOne boiler for brewing and steaming. That is perfectly sufficient for espresso; if you want milk, switch over and wait briefly.

The tamper supplied with most machines is made of plastic. A properly fitting tamper fills the portafilter basket to the edge, and it is exactly there that you find out whether the water will flow through evenly.

Run it through the brew group once a day, two minutes of work. Without that, coffee oils build up on the shower screen and the extraction becomes uneven long before you taste it.
