A weekend full of innovations and encounters. The World of Coffee in Geneva

This year's World of Coffee 2025 in Geneva once again impressively demonstrated how diverse and dynamic the coffee scene is. Between the gleaming espresso machines and high-tech grinders, we not only discovered technological highlights but also had many great conversations – for example, at Quick Mill , where we discussed optimized steam nozzles with the representatives.

A special highlight was our detailed, very inspiring conversation with our partner Eureka.

We also met with our trusted suppliers Touton Specialty Coffee and Belco. Touton offered inspiring talks about sustainable roast profiles and direct trade partnerships, as well as exciting cupping sessions, while Belco gave us a preview of exciting Brazilian lot selections. And last but not least, our premium partner Fiorenzato – one of the world's leading coffee grinder manufacturers (since 1936) with a broad portfolio of professional grinding systems: from the XGi Grind-by-Weight System to the compact AllGround home grinder.

Eureka Mignon Specialità Smart – The smart evolution

As a partner of Eureka, we have of course taken a close look at the brand new Mignon Specialità Smart:

  • SMART Technology & Recipe Book: Integrated 2.8″ color touch display with preset grinding profiles – from espresso to filter.
  • Burrs' Distance Detection System: Sensor continuously monitors the distance between the grinding discs and warns when readjustment is necessary.
  • ACE system & stepless micrometrics: Extremely precise grinding adjustment without intermediate steps.
  • Silent Technology & High-Speed Maintenance: Whisper-quiet grinding and tool-free cleaning for quick changes between bean varieties.
  • 300g bean container & robust metal fork: Practical and stable, ideal for daily use at home.

What makes the Eureka Specialita Smart so special?

The Specialita Smart is not just a high-quality grinder, but a true tool for anyone who wants to systematically improve their coffee quality. With its intelligent features, it helps you fine-tune your setup and achieve reproducible results every time:

  • Recipe book with storage function
Save up to eight custom recipes —each with two time profiles and a matching grind size. Ideal if you regularly switch between different beans or preparation methods. This way, every cup turns out exactly the way you like it—without the need for re-adjustment.

  • Intelligent grind aid
A special feature of the Smart: You enter your desired extraction time and the actual time achieved – the grinder then calculates the optimized grind size and immediately suggests a suitable setting. This is especially helpful for those who don't have much experience with fine-tuning or simply want to achieve the perfect result more efficiently.

  • Exact zero point detection
The Specialita Smart detects the true zero point of the grinder and displays it. This allows for particularly precise and consistent grind settings – ideal if you value traceability and repeatability.

  • Intuitive touch display
The spacious and user-friendly display makes managing your recipes and settings a breeze. All functions are clearly structured and can be adjusted with just a few taps.

The Eureka Specialita Smart will be launched in July 2025. It will be available in the following colors: chrome, black and white.
