60-month extended warranty

Conditions of the warranty extension

A warranty extension is optionally available for selected products and must be booked directly with the order, unless otherwise stated.

Scope of validity: This warranty extension applies exclusively to Natur Bohne GmbH, Rosenfeldstrasse 8, 72189 Vöhringen.

The warranty extension is a voluntary extension of the statutory warranty and grants a total of 60 months warranty from the date of purchase.

1. type of warranty extension

The warranty extension is based on electronics insurance. By paying a one-off premium, the purchased device is insured against manufacturing, design and material defects that occur in the device during the term of the insurance contract after the statutory warranty has expired. The premium must be purchased when the product is purchased and is available as an option.

2. amount of the premium

The amount of the underlying premium depends on the type and condition of the appliance and is non-refundable.

3 What is insured

The insurance covers the appliances listed on the invoice with the insurance premium. This includes design defects, material defects, manufacturing defects and other defects that are attributable to one of the aforementioned defects.

4 What is not insured

In particular, the insurance does not cover

  • Faults or damage that are not manufacturing, design or material defects - in particular wear and tear and consumables.
  • Indirect damage, such as financial loss, loss of profit, liability, non-material and indirect damage (consequential damage).
  • Costs for shipping, storage or securing the device.
  • Devices that are used commercially, unless they have been specially designed for this purpose by the manufacturer.
  • Damage caused by improper storage.

More detailed explanation: Natur Bohne accepts no compensation for damage caused by

5 Obligations of the policyholder or user

The insurance cover is invoiced in full when the goods are purchased and is legally binding upon payment of the premium. The insured device must be used and stored properly, carefully, safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, including during transport.

A breach of these obligations can lead to a partial or complete loss of insurance cover in the event of gross negligence.

In the event of an insured event, the damage must be minimised as far as possible and reported immediately (within three working days) in writing to the specialist dealer. All relevant information that is important for the calculation of compensation must be passed on to us completely and truthfully. Breaches of these obligations may result in the insurer being released from its obligation to indemnify.

6 Start and end of insurance cover

The insurance cover begins on the day of purchase of the electrical appliance by the end user. In the case of mail order, this is the day of dispatch.

In the case of direct sale or despatch by Natur Bohne, the day of despatch is also deemed to be the start of the insurance cover.

In the case of commercial intermediary trade, the date of invoicing to the end customer shall apply - provided that this takes place within one year of payment of the insurance premium. If the sale to the end customer takes longer than one year, the date of purchase by the intermediary is deemed to be the start of insurance cover.

The insurance cover ends 5 years after commencement. In the event of a total loss, cover ends when the claim is recognised or rejected.

The insurance cover can be transferred to the new owner, provided that all necessary documents (in particular the original invoice) are handed over.

7 Scope of benefits

Compensation is provided for all expenses necessary to restore the appliance to its original, operational condition - in particular costs for spare parts and repair materials incurred by a repair company commissioned or appointed by Natur Bohne.

The insurer shall not pay compensation for

  • a) costs of an overhaul or other measures that would also have been necessary independently of the insured event
  • b) additional costs due to modifications or improvements that go beyond restoration
  • c) costs of a restoration carried out by the insured person
  • d) Costs for consumables of all kinds

If the appliance cannot be economically restored (total loss), compensation shall be paid either up to the amount of the insured value or a technically equivalent replacement appliance shall be provided - at the insurer's discretion.
