Why does the AllGround Sense Plus have a built-in scale, and do I really need that?
The built-in scale automatically weighs during grinding until the exact amount you set is reached, accurate to 0.1 g. This solves your reproducibility problem: instead of grinding by feel or timer, you get precisely 18.0 g for your double shot every time. Especially when you are just learning, this is incredibly valuable; you eliminate a source of error and can focus on tamping and extraction. The new version recognizes the portafilter faster and allows dosages up to 50 g if you want to grind larger portions for filter coffee later. Delivery will start at the end of February.
I am torn between the AllGround Sense and the regular AllGround, what is the specific difference?
The AllGround Sense features a built-in scale and a Grind-by-Weight function. This allows you to set the desired ground weight, and the grinder stops automatically. This ensures comfort and consistent results. The regular AllGround operates with a timer: you set the grinding duration and often readjust it when changing beans or grind settings.

What size of grinding burrs does the AllGround Sense Plus have and what throughput does it achieve?
The AllGround Sense Plus operates with 64-mm flat grinding discs. Current throughput values in grams per second are not available to us. The grinder is primarily designed for on-demand operation in the home and small office segment and not for continuous commercial use. For higher throughput with larger discs, we recommend the Eureka Atlas 85 with 85-mm discs and 7.0–8.5 g/s. This is designed for commercial operation.
Is there a technical data sheet with documented lifespan of the grinding discs?
A technical data sheet with documented grinding disc lifespan is currently not available for the AllGround Sense Plus. Fiorenzato states approximately 3,000 kg of coffee beans for comparable 64 mm grinding discs with Dark-T coating. However, this information comes from other model series and is not specifically validated for the AllGround Sense Plus. For a reliable calculation of wear costs, you should request the lifespan documentation directly from Fiorenzato.

Is the AllGround Sense Plus approved for permanent commercial use and what is its motor power?
The AllGround Sense Plus is designed for home use and is not suitable for permanent commercial operation. Motor power and maximum daily output are not documented. It is intended for private use or office environments and not for long-term use in cafés. For the gastronomy sector, we recommend the Eureka Atlas 85. It has 510 watts, 1,350 RPM, and an explicit commercial approval. This model is designed for continuous operation.
