Eureka Mignon Zero – Single-dose precision for fresh espresso, shot after shot
The Eureka Mignon Zero was developed for single-dosing: weigh in the beans, grind fresh, and you're done – with no noticeable residue. This makes it the ideal grinder for those who frequently switch between beans or want maximum freshness in every cup. Available in 15BL (matte black) and 16CR (chrome).
What you can expect technically
- Grinding discs: 55 mm, hardened steel (standard); optional upgrade to Eureka Black Diamond/Diamond Inside possible.
- Single-dose concept: grinding chamber with virtually no dead space and zero-retention ejection (including bellows depending on scope of delivery).
- Grinding adjustment: stepless, micrometric – precise fine adjustment for espresso; usable right down to the filter area.
- Motor/speed: approx. 310 W, approx. 1,350 rpm.
- Workflow: Single-dose hopper (approx. 45 g), dosing cup, clean ejection for direct processing in the portafilter.

Important clarification: Black Diamond on the Mignon Zero
The Mignon Zero does not come standard with Black Diamond/Diamond Inside burrs, but with standard 55 mm hardened steel burrs . The Black Diamond burrs are available as a retrofit upgrade (factory-fitted as standard, for example, on select Oro models).

- What is the difference between 15BL and 16CR?
- Technically, both are identical (55 mm burrs, motor, adjustment). The difference is the finish : 15BL = matte black, 16CR = chrome.
- Does the Mignon Zero have 65 mm grinding discs?
- The standard model (15BL/16CR) uses 55 mm burrs. The Mignon Zero 65 All Purpose uses 65 mm burrs and is optimized for espresso and filter coffee.
- Who is the Mignon Zero suitable for?
- For home baristas who want single-dosing , freshness , and precise espresso settings —with the option of filter grinding. Those who regularly switch between espresso and filter will find the All Purpose more convenient.
- Does upgrading to Black Diamond provide an advantage?
- Yes – Black Diamond/Diamond Inside discs are particularly durable and retain their sharpness for a very long time. This is especially beneficial when grinding large amounts of coffee or very light roasts.

Jag köpte en ny kaffekvarn från Naturbohne och det finns kafferester i den.
Please note: Some manufacturers test their coffee grinders before shipping, which means that small coffee residues or bean residues can occasionally be found in the grinder. This procedure is used to test functionality and is considered a quality feature. Of course, we only sell new products - unless expressly stated otherwise.
Statisk laddning - kaffesump stänker ut från sidan
With some coffee grinders, the ground coffee can become statically charged and spray out of the portafilter at the side. This means that not all of the ground coffee gets into the portafilter, which can lead to uneven extraction. Our recommendation: Use a dosing funnel to ensure that all of the ground coffee is precisely fed into the portafilter - for optimal espresso enjoyment.
Vad är det döda utrymmet i kaffekvarnar?
Conventional coffee grinders often leave a so-called dead space in which coffee residues accumulate. These residues can not only affect the freshness, but also lead to old and fresh coffee grounds being mixed, which negatively affects the taste. In contrast, single dose grinders have a well-thought-out design that eliminates the dead space. Each portion is ground individually and precisely so that no residues are left behind - for a consistently pure and full-bodied coffee experience.
Vilket portafilter passar min espressomaskin?
When choosing the right portafilter for your portafilter machine, it is important to know that each manufacturer develops its own brewing group - the most well-known is the Faema E61. However, this does not mean that any portafilter will fit without any problems. An incompatible portafilter can leak, which will have a direct negative impact on the quality of your espresso. We therefore recommend using either the portafilter originally supplied or one that is explicitly stated to be compatible with your machine. This will ensure that the pressure is optimally built up and the espresso is perfectly extracted.

Another little tip for the perfect start with your new mill:
You will get the best grinding result after you have ground about 1-2 kg of beans. It is best to use a few cheap beans so that the grinder can work optimally. And if you are wondering what you can do with the bean flour - it is perfect plant fertilizer! 🌿
It contains nitrogen, potassium, sulfur and phosphorus and is a real nutrient bomb for your plants.
Kan ni utföra en offsetkalibrering på min portafiltermaskin?
Det finns vissa argument mot offsetkalibrering för Lelit-portafiltermaskiner, särskilt för modeller som Lelit Bianca. Det handlar främst om komplexiteten och begränsningarna med offset som enda lösning på temperaturproblem:
- Temperaturfluktuationer och instabilitet. Offseten tar hänsyn till en konstant skillnad mellan panntemperaturen och bryggtemperaturen. I praktiken kan dock temperaturfluktuationer förekomma, t.ex. på grund av längre ståtider eller kontinuerlig bryggning. Därför kan den faktiska bryggningstemperaturen inte alltid förutsägas exakt.
- Beroende av omgivande förhållanden. Faktorer som rumstemperatur, luftfuktighet och maskinens skick (t.ex. uppvärmningstid) har ett betydande inflytande på bryggningstemperaturen. En fast offset kan inte kompensera dynamiskt för dessa variabler, vilket kan leda till felaktiga resultat.
- Värmeförlust under stilleståndstider. Efter längre pauser kyls brygggruppen ned och maskinen behöver tid för att återgå till önskad temperatur. En korrekt inställd offset kan inte kompensera för detta, varför ytterligare åtgärder som t.ex. en "kylspolning" är nödvändiga.
- Felaktiga fabrikskalibreringar. På vissa Lelit-modeller har det visat sig att fabriksoffset ofta är felaktigt inställd (t.ex. 4-8 grader för lågt på Lelit Bianca). Detta kräver manuell omkalibrering av specialiserad personal, vilket kan vara komplicerat för slutanvändarna.
- Missförstånd i tillämpningen. Många användare blir förvirrade av motsägelsefull information om offsetinställningen, vilket kan leda till felaktiga justeringar. Ofta tror man t.ex. att offseten ensam kan lösa alla temperaturproblem, trots att den bara är en del av ett mer komplext system.
Slutsats
Offsetkalibrering är ett användbart verktyg, men det bör inte betraktas som en isolerad åtgärd. För att uppnå optimala bryggresultat krävs en kombination av exakt PID-styrning, regelbundet underhåll och skräddarsydda tekniker (t.ex. sköljshots).
