60-month warranty extension
Warranty Extension Terms
Scope: This warranty extension applies exclusively to Natur Bohne, Heubergstrasse 9, 72189 Vöhringen.
The warranty extension is a voluntary extension of the statutory warranty and provides a total of 60 months of warranty from the purchase date.
1. Type of Warranty Extension
This warranty extension is based on an electronics insurance. By paying a one-time premium, the purchased device is insured against manufacturing, design, and material defects that occur during the term of the insurance policy after the statutory warranty expires. The premium must be purchased together with the product at the time of sale and is available optionally.
2. Premium Amount
The amount of the applicable premium depends on the type and condition of the device and is non-refundable.
3. What Is Covered
The devices listed on the invoice along with the insurance premium are covered. This includes design defects, material defects, manufacturing defects as well as any other faults attributable to one of the mentioned defects.
4. What Is Not Covered
The following are not covered in particular:
- Defects or damages that are not manufacturing, design, or material defects – in particular, wear and tear and consumables.
- Indirect damages, such as financial loss, lost profits, liability, immaterial, and consequential damages.
- Costs for shipping, storage, or securing the device.
- Devices that are used commercially, unless they have been specifically designed for that purpose by the manufacturer.
- Damage resulting from improper storage.
More detailed explanation: Natur Bohne does not assume any liability for damages caused by:
- a) Operating errors and clumsiness (e.g., dropping, breakage, exposure to liquids) due to slight or gross negligence
- b) Intentional actions
- c) Actions by third parties (Note: family members living in the same household are not considered third parties)
- d) Property offenses
- e) Force majeure or actions by animals
- f) Improper storage or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions (see operating manual)
- g) Design, material, or manufacturing defects prior to the expiry of the manufacturer's or seller's warranty
- h) Damages for which third parties (e.g., manufacturer, retailer, another insurer, or repair company) are liable
- i) Wear and tear as well as costs for servicing, adjustments, and cleaning
- j) Damages caused by falls, impacts, or breakage
- k) Damages caused by water, moisture, or wetness outside the intended area of application of the device
- l) Weather-related moisture and water
- m) Short circuit, overcurrent, or overvoltage

- o) Damages due to storm, frost, hail, stone impact, or flooding
- p) Systemic defects
- q) Earthquakes, wars, war-like events, terrorism, nuclear energy, or nuclear substances

- s) Loss, abandonment, forgetting, or misplacing of the device
- t) Consequential damages and loss of use
- u) Calcium deposits of any kind
- v) Damages caused by sporting activities
- w) Damages from commercial use, unless the device is explicitly approved for such use
- x) Damages due to improper storage
5. Obligations of the Policyholder or User
The insurance coverage is fully invoiced at the time of purchase and becomes legally binding upon payment of the premium. The insured device must be used and stored properly, carefully, and safely according to the manufacturer's instructions – even during transport.
A breach of these obligations, in cases of gross negligence, may result in a partial or complete loss of insurance coverage.
In the event of a claim, the damage must be minimized and reported in writing to the specialist dealer immediately (within three working days). All relevant information necessary for the calculation of compensation must be provided to us completely and truthfully. Violations of these obligations may result in the insurer being released from liability.
6. Commencement and Termination of Coverage
The insurance coverage begins on the day the electronic device is purchased by the end user. In mail order, the day of dispatch applies.
In the case of a direct sale or dispatch by Natur Bohne, the day of dispatch also serves as the start of the coverage.
In the event of commercial intermediation, the day of invoicing to the end customer applies – provided that this occurs within one year after the premium has been paid. If the sale to the end customer takes longer than one year, the purchase date of the intermediary shall be considered the start of the coverage.
The insurance coverage ends 5 years after it begins. In the case of a total loss, the coverage terminates with the acceptance or rejection of the compensation claim.
The coverage can be transferred to a new owner, provided that all required documents (in particular, the original invoice) are handed over.
7. Scope of Benefits
Reimbursed are all expenses necessary to restore the device to its original, operational condition – in particular, costs for spare parts and repair materials incurred by a repair company commissioned or designated by Natur Bohne.
The insurer does not provide compensation for:
- a) Costs for an overhaul or other measures that would have been necessary independently of the claim
- b) Additional costs due to modifications or improvements that exceed the restoration
- c) Costs for self-managed restoration
- d) Costs for consumables of any kind
If the device is economically irreparable (total loss), the compensation is either up to the insured value or a technically equivalent replacement device will be provided – at the discretion of the insurer.
